Honoring Tradition, Rebuilding for the Future
For more than 100 years, the Monona County Fair has been a proud tradition rooted in agriculture, community, education, and family entertainment. Since 1905, the fair has brought together generations of residents, businesses, volunteers, exhibitors, and visitors to celebrate the heritage and future of Monona County.
Each year, the Monona County Fair offers a wholesome family experience filled with exciting attractions and memorable events including carnival rides, live entertainment, demo derbies, truck and tractor pulls, figure 8 races, food contests, parades, foam parties, and much more.
The fair would not be possible without the incredible support of local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Their dedication helps preserve an event that has become an important part of Monona County’s history and future.
Built by community. Powered by volunteers. Tradition runs deep at the Monona County Fair.
Join us for the upcoming 2026 Monona County Fair, running from July 7th to July 12th! Step into our arenas, walk through our livestock barns, and celebrate our community spirit as we gather for our favorite summer tradition.
The mission of the Monona County Fair is to provide a source of community pride by creating educational opportunities and showcasing the accomplishments of 4-H members, FFA students, youth organizations, and county residents.
Through exhibits, livestock shows, entertainment, competitions, and year-round facility usage, the fair continues to promote agriculture, family consumer sciences, natural sciences, community involvement, and local traditions.
